Hosting volleyball action on Saturday the Axtell Eagles welcomed three Nebraska schools and four other Twin Valley League teams to town for a volleyball tournament. 

It proved to be a highly competitive day of volleyball all-around with the trio of Nebraska teams grabbing three of the top four spots on the day. Diller-Odell continued their strong volleyball year going 5-0 on the day to claim the Axtell Invitational title topping Linn in the championship contest 25-16, 25-17. That gave the Linn Bulldogs the best performance of all the TVL teams in action on the day taking second place with a 3-2 mark on the day, both losses coming to Diller-Odell.

Falls City Sacred Heart snagged third place on the day as the Irish beat Lourdes Central Catholic 25-12, 17-25, 25-17 to earn third and finish the day 3-2 avenging a pool play loss earlier in the day to Lourdes. Lourdes notched a 3-2 day also. 

In the consolation action it was all TVL teams as the host Axtell took fifth place, Valley Heights sixth, Frankfort seventh and Wetmore eighth. Axtell beat Valley Heights 25-17, 25-21 in the fifth place match to finish the day 3-2, while Valley Heights tallied a 2-3 mark on the day. Frankfort in the seventh place match beat Wetmore 25-17, 25-23 to post a 2-3 record on the day, while Wetmore went 0-5.
