The first day of October saw plenty of Kanzland area volleyball teams in action including a pair of Twin Valley League squads competing with several Northeast Kansas League teams as Valley Falls hosted a tournament. 

The wins continued to pour in this season for the winner of the Valley Falls Invitational as Centralia remained unbeaten by winning the tournament with a 5-0 to improve to 26-0 on the season. The Panthers won in straight sets in all five of their matches beating McLouth, Oskaloosa, Maur Hill, Maranatha and Valley Falls. 

Host Valley Falls notched a 4-1 day and is putting another strong season together taking second in the tournament improving to 20-7 on the year. The Dragons wins came in straight sets against Axtell, Maranatha and Jackson Heights, while beating Maur Hill in three sets. 

Maranatha took third place going 3-2, while Maur Hill finished the day 2-3 and took fourth place. The Ravens two wins were in straight sets against Oskaloosa and McLouth, while falling to Centralia, Valley Falls and Maranatha. Maur Hill moved to 12-12 on the season. 

Axtell, Oskaloosa, Jackson Heights and McLouth finished sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth. The Eagles posted a 3-2 record on the day to move to 17-10 on the year beating Oskaloosa, McLouth and Jackson Heights, while falling to Valley Falls and Maranatha. 

For Oskaloosa it was a 2-3 day with wins over Jackson Heights and McLouth and are now 7-18 on the year. Jackson Heights picked up their lone win in three sets over McLouth going 1-4 on the day and are 8-17 on the season. Mclouth with an 0-5 day move to 3-20 on the year.
