Six Area Teams in Week Five KVA Volleyball Rankings

Just a little over two weeks of action before the postseason in Kansas high school volleyball and the week five Kansas Volleyball Association polls have been released with six area teams in the polls again this week. 

The same six area teams ranked last week are in the rankings this week again led by a #1 ranking for the Centralia Panthers in Class 1A-Division I as the Panthers are 29-0 after winning the Valley Falls Invite on Saturday and picking up wins over Onaga, Doniphan West and Frankfort Tuesday night. Both Hanover and Immaculata remain in the rankings this week checking in at #5 and #8, respectively. Hanover Wildcats are 22-3 on the season after a pair of wins against Wetmore and Washington County on Tuesday, while Immaculata is 20-6 on the year beating West Platte and North Platte on Monday and then picking up NEKL wins over Jefferson County North and Oskaloosa on Tuesday night, but fell one spot in the polls this week. 

The Axtell Eagles remain ranked #6 in Class 1A-Division II polls and sit at 17-12 on the season going 3-2 at the Valley Falls Invite on Saturday for fifth place and lost to Valley Heights and Clifton-Clyde on Tuesday. 

Northeast Kansas League teams Jefferson County North and Valley Falls both continue to be ranked in Class 2-1A. The Chargers moved down one spot to #4 in the polls and is 19-4 on the season after beating Oskaloosa on Tuesday, but taking a loss to Immaculata. Valley Falls remained ranked #7 carrying a 22-7 record on the season after beating Pleasant Ridge and Jackson Heights Tuesday night in NEKL play and finishing 4-1 at their home invite on Saturday to take second.
