Marysville, Perry Lecompton & Sabetha Girls Tennis Players Qualify for State

Full 3-2-1A Girls Tennis Regionals at Marysville Results - Singles & Doubles 

The first postseason action in high school fall sports got rolling over the weekend as spots at State were up for grabs in girl’s tennis at Regionals. 

The Marysville Bulldogs, Perry Lecompton Kaws and Sabetha Bluejays all qualified players for the Class 3-2-1A girls tennis State tournament after Top six finishes at Regionals in Marysville.  

Marysville Bulldogs were led at Regionals by the a second place performance in singles competition by Shelby Downard to qualify for State, while her teammate Megan Hill will join her at State after a fifth place finish at Regionals. In doubles competition the teams of Sarah Roberts and Avery Williams, along with Holly Holthaus and Haley Bruna earned fourth and fifth place finish to earn spots at State. 

Four tennis competitors are going to State for Perry Lecompton as Lia Jones and Sam Worthington tallied finishes of fourth and sixth in singles competition to qualify for State. While in doubles action the team of Harleigh Robertson and Gracie Folks finished third to earn a spot at State. 

Sabetha Bluejays team of Savanna Metzger and Laura Edelman are headed to State after finishing sixth in the doubles competition at Regionals.  

Class 3-2-1A girls tennis State competition is set for Friday and Saturday, October 14th and 15th in Wichita at Riverside Tennis Complex.
