For the first time since 2013 the Jeff West lady Tigers volleyball team hit the court at the State tournament to finish their season competing that the 4A-DII State tourney in Salina. 

The Tigers wrapped up their season in pool play going 1-2 at State with a big win over the number one seed, Holcomb in the first match of pool play. Jeff West went in to State as the eight seed squared off with Holcomb in the first match and the Tigers pounced earning the 25-22, 25-19 win over the number one seed of the State tournament. Pool play continued with a showdown with four seed Baxter Springs and the Tigers pushed them to three sets but came up just short in the contest falling 20-25, 25-17, 23-25. Still alive for an opportunity to make it out of pool play Jeff West took on Nickerson in their final pool play match and while the Tigers hung tough they fell in straight sets 22-25, 18-25 to wrap up pool play 1-2 and finish up their season. 

The 1-2 performance at the State tournament moved Jeff West to a 23-17 record to cap off the 2016 season.
