The action continues to heat up on the wrestling mats all around the State of Kansas and area grapplers continue to post top notch performances. The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released new rankings and nine area wrestlers and one area team are in the latest polls. 

Marysville Bulldogs continue to highlight the area wrestlers in the rankings as Marysville who has been ranked all year as a team comes in at #5 in the Class 3-2-1A rankings of the Top 10. Three individual Bulldog wrestlers remain in the rankings this week as senior, Jacob Mintzmyer continues to hold the top spot at 170lbs, while senior, Jacob Stryker checks in at #4 at 182lbs and freshman, Joey Bockin ranks #5 at 113lbs in Class 3-2-1A. 

Sabetha, ACCHS, Royal Valley and Pleasant Ridge are all represented again in the 3-2-1A wrestling rankings. Sabetha Bluejay junior, Seth Harrell ranks #6 at 126lbs this week, while ACCHS Tiger senior, Hunter Ostertag comes in ranked #1 at 138lbs this week. Royal Valley senior, Jacob Box ranks #2 at 195lbs, Pleasant Ridge senior, Nick Stiver is ranked #6 at 285lbs and Riverside Cyclone senior, Donovan Duncan ranks at #6 at 220lbs.

Only one area wrestler has been ranked at any point this season in Class 4A and that is Holton Wildcat senior, Tyler Price who continues to be ranked at 170lbs coming in at #3 this week. 

The high school wrestling season continues this upcoming weekend with a full slate of tournament action involving area teams.
