CHAMPIONSHIP = Nemaha Central 44, Hiawatha 32

In a very similiar game to their first meeting of this season, Nemaha Central pulled away from a 15-11 halftime lead as Ashley Larkin and Laura Macke scored 25 of the Thunder 29 points in the second half to reclain the HIT championship trophy.  Nemaha has now won the tournament four of the past five years and avenged a loss in last year's title game against the Redhawks.  Macke and Larkin took over during a 15-7 third quarter with strong inside play as Nemaha Central improved their record to 12-1 on the season following a physical and tough defensive battle.

Hiawatha (6-5) struggled making outside shots and didn't hit any treys until Courtney Brockoff hit three in the second half.  Brockoff finished with 13 points while Cariann Kunkel added 12, but the rest of the team combined for just seven points total against the Thunder tight pressure defense.  Macke finished with 18 points to earn CItizens State Bank and Trust Company of Hiawatha "Player to Bank On" honors while Larkin finished with all her nine in the second half.

THIRD PLACE = St. Mary's 51, Horton 30

St. Mary's jumped to a 24-7 lead and never looked back to finish with two wins in their first year in this tournament.  Horton got 15 points from Daspin Brunning in the loss.  Logan Hurla hit three treys and scored 13 for the Lady Bears while Jasmine Hurla added 11 points.

FIFTH PLACE = Marysville 60, Jackson Heights 46

Leading 24-20 at halftime, Marysville pulled away with a 36-20 second half to secure their second win in the tourney.  Senior, Macy Larson hit four treys in the third quarter to fuel the Bulldogs run and finished with 15 points and Marysville was 17 of 29 from the foul-line, including making 13 of 19 in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Jackson Heights made just 4 of 11 free throws total as Hannah Williams scored 11 points and Kylie Dohl added 10.

SEVENTH PLACE = Falls City 58, Lansing JV 48

The Lady Tigers outscored Lansing JV 24-9 in the fourth quarter to finish the tournament with a win.  Alyssa Frederick scored 12 points and fellow senior, Molly Brown led the Tigers with 16 as 11 different girls scored in the game.
