GIRLS = Sabetha 44, Perry Lecompton 38

The game was tight throughout with neither team ever leading by more than eight points and it was tied at 23 at halftime. Sabetha trailed 36-32 entering the final quarter, but didn't allow the Kaws to score a point until a pair of free throws with :44 left in the game.  Sabetha's 10-0 gave them a 42-36 lead and the Jays made eight foul shots in the last period to secure the win.  Hillary Krebs was 6-6 at the stripe and scored 13 points while Grace Kuenzi added 8 of her 10 in the second quarter after Perry built their biggest lead of the night at 32-25.

Perry Lecompton was led by Abbi Folks with 12 points while Lexia Jamison added 10 before the Kaws fell to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in League play.  Sabetha improved to 8-6 overall and 6-4 in the Big 7 while outscoring Perry 12-2 in the final quarter.

BOYS = Perry Lecompton 49, Sabetha 38

Sabetha took a 12-11 lead on a trey by Brett Stallbaumer to open the second stanza, but that was about the only time the Jays held a lead at Perry Lecompton on Tuesday.  Perry got a bucket from Thomas Taylor to lead 22-14 at halftime and maintained a five-point margin heading into the fourth quarter.  Sabetha was able to tie the game at 34 with under five minutes to play, but Canaan Daniels scored five straight points to propel the Kaws to their sixth win in their last eight games.  Daniels finished with 12 of his 16 points in the second half and Isaac Christmas added 10 while Jordan Spreer chipped in 9 and Perry Lecompton pulled even with Sabetha at 6-4, which is tied for third in the Big 7.

Joe Gruber scored 13 for the Bluejays while Christian Meyer added 9 and the Jays hit six treys, but coudn't score in the paint and committed 15 turnovers on the night while also attempting only two free throws in the loss.
