MANHATTAN, Kan. - Adrian Diaz sported a career-high day on the glass notching 10 rebounds with eight coming on the offensive end en route to a 74-55 win over North Florida.

K-State had three players score in double figures on the afternoon with Rodney McGruder leading the way for the Wildcats with 16 points. Thomas Gipson added 12 points and Nino Williams scored 10.

McGruder went 4-of-7 from the field and 1-of-3 from beyond the arc in the first half to tally nine points. Williams and Gipson were a force inside the paint both attributing eight points. Gipson worked his way to the free-throw line five times in the first half going 6-of-10 from the charity stripe. The Wildcats ended the first half 40-26 over the Ospreys.

In the second half, McGruder notched seven points to go 7-of-13 on the day earning his highest point total and best shooting percentage of the season. Diaz added five points, and Henriquez and Gipson both attributed four points. Gipson ended the game with 12 points and nine rebounds to come just shy of his fourth double-double. K-State was up by as many as 30 points in the second half, but North Florida went on an 11-1 run late to end the game 74-55.

The Wildcats pulled down a spectacular 29 offensive rebounds in the game, out-rebounding the Ospreys 54-31. Diaz led the way for K-State, while Gipson attributed nine rebounds and D.J. Johnson and Jordan Henriquez grabbed eight apiece.

K-State was dominant inside, outscoring North Florida 36-24 in the paint, with only 7-of-25 baskets coming from outside the paint.

The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday against Delaware as K-State begins play in the semifinals of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The game can be seen live on ESPNU at 6 p.m. CT.
