Sabetha Boys Golf Wins Big Seven Quad at Jeff West

Jeff West played host to Big Seven League boys golf action on Monday as Sabetha, Nemaha Central and Royal Valley competed with the Tigers on the day. 

The Sabetha Bluejays continued their solid start the golf season as they posted the best team score on the day a four-man score of 152 to win by 22 strokes. Host, Jeff West took second as a team with a 174 team score, while Nemaha Central and Royal Valley posted team scores of 186 and 226, respectively. 

Bluejays were led by three of the Top five individual scores on the day including a 35 by Jesse Burger to give himself first place on the day. Garrett Scott and Reese Lierz finished third and fifth after carding rounds of 38 and 39. Brandon Rokey finished out the Sabetha four-man team score carding a 40, while David Pierson and Noah Garber both were in action posting rounds of 41 and 42. 

Jeff West on the their way to second as a team had Preston Stanley led the way taking fourth individually with a 39 on the day. Cooper Mickens posted a 40 for the Tigers, while Zach Murdock and Isaac Dickey finished the Tigers team score with scores of 46 and 49. Charlie Roy and Ben Fast also were in action for Jeff West carding rounds of 57 and 59. 

Dylan Enneking of Nemaha Central notched the second best individual round of the day as the Thunder finished third as a team and Enneking tallied a 36. Corey Nolte notched a 48 for the Thunder, while Cory Heiman posted a round of 50 and both Billy Mitchell and Hunter Feldkamp each posted rounds of 52. Dalton Schmelzle was also in action for Nemaha Central posting a round of 60. 

Royal Valley had five golfers in action on the day and were led by Corey Humpert who posted a score of 50. Both August Delin and Charlotte Rooks each carded rounds of 58, while Max Hennis posted a 60 and Ben Hubbard posted a 65.
