Area teams hit the links on Thursday with some beautiful weather but the wind played a big factor as Perry Lecompton played host. 

Jeff West Tigers notched the best team score on the day winning the competition by 14 strokes with a score of 349. Baldwin and Rossville followed in second and third with scores of 363 and 378, while Immaculata took fourth with a 383. Atchison, Maur Hill-Mount Academy and St. Mary's finished out the team standings in fifth, sixth and seventh with scores of 394, 402 and 445. Perry Lecompton, Horton and Maranatha also had golfers in action on the day. 

Three of the four scores for the team for the Jeff West Tigers were good for Top 10 performances including a second place finish for Preston Stanley who carded an 84 on the day. Cooper Mickens and Isaac Dickey earned fifth and seventh place finishes with rounds of 86 and 88, respectively. Gavin Schwinn rounded out the Tigers team score and finished 11th on the day posting a score of 91. 

Immaculata Raider, Evan Wheaton continued to perform well on the links this season as he won another competition this time shooting an 81 to win by three strokes. Emma Bollin notched a 15th place finish for Immaculata after carding a 95. 

A pair of Atchison golfers finished in the Top 10 led by Nathan Sowers who took third place with an 85, while Derek Thompson earned eighth place after shooting a 89. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy was led by Isaac Henderson who with a score of 88 earned a sixth place finish.
