Valley Falls Dragons stepped out of the area to continue their volleyball season and represented Northeast Kansas really well on Saturday at the Lyndon Invitational going 5-0 in action to win the competition.

Pool play started the tournament for Valley Falls and in Pool B the Dragons won the pool with a 3-0 performance but it didn't come easy as the Dragons beat Lebo in straight sets (25-12, 25-15) but needed three sets in their other two matches. Against Wabaunsee the Dragons were victorious in three sets (25-16, 19-25, 25-16) winning the first set, falling in the second and taking the third for the match. The other contest was against Burlingame and Valley Falls suffered a first set loss but bounced back and dominated set two and then won a tight third set (23-25, 25-7, 25-20).

On to the Semifinals Valley Falls faced off with Marais des Cygnes Valley taking the match in straight sets (25-15, 25-14).

A date with Burlingame again in the tournament loomed next this time for the tournament title and the Dragons won a bit easier this time taking the match in straight sets (25-17, 25-7).

The tournament 5-0 performance doubled the Dragons win total on the season improving them to 10-4 on the year.
