Perry Lecompton Cross Country Invite Results (9-28-17) - click here

Seven area cross country teams were in action on Thursday as Perry Lecompton played host to that action at Lake Perry with a strong field of competitors. 

Leading the way for the area performances was Pleasant Ridge who saw Luke Oatney post a time of 17:01.39 to claim the top spot in the boys race by nearly 42 seconds and guide Ram boys to a fourth place team finish. Dayton Flack notched a tenth place finish behind a time of 18:16.79, while Garrett Silvers placed 19th. 

A trio of Top 10 finishers led Atchison's performances at the Perry Lecompton Invite. In the boys action Matthew Sowers took third with a time of 17:54.05, while Emily Jaloma and Adalynn Collins placed sixth and seventh in the girl's race after finishing with times of 21:15.52 and 21:30.06. Teagan Hanson added a 16th place finish for the Atchison girls. 

Jeff West Tigers were led by Macy Tucker as she raced to tenth place on the day with a time of 22:03.45, while Makenzie Tucker finished 14th as the lady Tigers had the highest girls area team performance finishing fourth. 

Two Perry Lecompton Kaws recorded Top 20 finishes on the day as Josh Mitts placed 16th in the boy's competition and Jolie Hirsch finished 20th in the girls race. 

Riverside Cyclones were led by Matthew Kline who raced to 11th place, while Royal Valley Panthers had Garrett Hicks place 13th in the boys competition. 

Holton was also in action at the Perry Lecompton Invite on the day.
