Centralia Panther volleyball has made its second home the State tournament and they are set to make their 27th trip to State after winning another Sub-State title over the weekend.

The Panthers hosted Sub-State action and were the one seed earning a first round bye in the action into the Semifinals. Centralia took on Troy in the Semifinals and picked up a 25-11, 25-6 straight set win to move into the Sub-State championship game.

In the Championship Centralia would get all they could handle from the Frankfort Wildcats who were riding high after beating #3 Valley Falls in the Semifinals. The Championship match was back and forth in favor of both teams but Centralia captured the match in a tough straight set affair winning 28-26, 25-23 to win the Sub-State title.

The win moves Centralia to 38-1 on the season as they head to State for the seventh consecutive year and look to defend the 1A-DI State title and pick up their 14th State title in school history. Centralia has finished third or better at State the last six years including three State titles. The Panthers enter the 1A-DI State tournament this year as the number one overall seed and open pool play on Friday, October 27th against Lebo at 9:30am, then play Hanover at 11:30am and finish pool play against Pretty Prairie at 1:30pm.
