Twelve Area Wrestlers & One Team Ranked In Latest KWCA Polls

As the wrestling season rolls along and with State only a month away wrestlers across the State continue to fine tune their mat skills and the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released its new set of rankings which feature 12 area wrestlers and one area team. 

The Marysville Bulldogs have been the only area school to be ranked as a wrestling team throughout this year and after briefly falling out of the Top 10 in Class 4A the Bulldogs have returned to the rankings at #8 in the latest polls. Marysville is led by a pair of grapplers in the rankings as sophomore, Storm Slupianik continues to hold the #2 spot at 160lbs and sophomore, Atreyau Hornbeak remains ranked at #5 at 170lbs. 

A pair of Holton Wildcats remain in the Class 4A KWCA rankings also this week as senior, Kyler Tannahill continues to hold the #4 spot at 285lbs and senior, Lawson Henry ranks #5 again at 138lbs this week. 

All the area wrestlers ranked in Class 3-2-1A this week remain in the polls from the previous week with only a few changing spots in the rankings. Riverside Cyclone senior, Scott Resler continues to be the highest area ranked wrestler in 3-2-1A coming in at #2 again this week at 145lbs. 

While the Sabetha Bluejays are well represented in the rankings again with a trio of wrestlers in the polls once again. Junior, Cauy Rokey moves down one spot to #5 at 195lbs, while junior, Elliot Strahm also moved down one spot to #6 this week at 285lbs. Freshman, Kaden Dillon continues to hold the #6 ranking at 113lbs for the Bluejays. 

Royal Valley Panther senior, Dalton Ware remains ranked at #3 at 120lbs and has been a steady presence in the polls all season. 

Doniphan West Mustang senior, Zeb Speer ranks fifth this week at 160lbs in Class 3-2-1A.

Pleasant Ridge junior, Trevor Ragland moves down one spot this week to #5 at 106lbs and Oskaloosa senior, Jared Miller continues to hold the #6 spot at 182lbs.
