In a rematch from early December, it was the same result on Tuesday in Sabetha as the Lady Jays and Perry boys coasted to lopsided victories to sweep the season series.

GIRLS = Sabetha 42, Perry Lecompton 21

Sabetha jumped to a 16-7 first quarter lead, then scored the first nine points of the second stanza to cruise to the victory.  Skylar McAfee led the team with 11 points, including five of seven free throws as Sabetha overcame an off-night from the perimeter making just 2-15 from long range.  Nine players scored as the Lady Bluejays improved to 8-6 overall and 6-4 in the Big 7 League.

Jenna Keller scored the first 15 points of the game for Perry Lecompton, who played without second leading scorere, Graci Folks.  Keller finished with 16 points, but the Kaws had 15 turnovers and fell to 2-12 on the season with their ninth loss in a row.

BOYS = Perry Lecompton 55, Sabetha 30

It was a battle of teams both 7-2 and tied for second place in the Big 7 League, but this game was never close as Perry jumped to a 16-3 lead and never looked back, outscoring the Bluejays in all four quarters.  The Kaws led 33-15 at halftime and stretched the margin to as many as 28 points in the fourth frame.  Colton Mallonee scored 10 points in the first quarter, mainly all in transition, and finished with 17.  Canaan Daniels added 14 including four of the Kaws six treys after sitting out the first 10 minutes of the game and Connor Anderson chipped in 13 points.  Perry improved to 12-2 on the season.

Sabetha struggled from behind the arc despite making five triples and fell to 9-5 and 7-3 in League play.  Jesse Burger scored 10 of his 11 points in the first half and Brett Stallbaumer hit a trio of three-pointers to score nine, but Sabetha made only five baskets inside the arc.
