Fourteen Area Wrestlers & One Team Ranked In Latest KWCA Polls

With Regionals just a little over a week away area wrestlers continue to fine tune their skills to gear up for the postseason. The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released their new rankings feature 14 area wrestlers and one area team. 

In Class 4A, Marysville and Holton have highlighted the rankings all season and it's no different this week with both schools increasing their number of grapplers in the polls. Marysville wrestling squad jumped back into the team rankings in 4A coming in at #6 in the Top 10 as the Bulldogs have a trio of wrestlers ranked. Sophomore, Storm Slupianik continues to lead Marysville in the rankings coming in #1 again this week at 160lbs, while Jonny Crome is ranked #5 at 132lbs. 

For the Holton Wildcats it's a trio of grapplers in the polls this week. Senior, Kyler Tannahill continues to climb up the rankings moving up one spot again this week to #2 at 285lbs, while senior, Lawson Henry remains ranked #5 at 138lbs. Sophomore, Kolby Roush jumps into the rankings for Holton this week at #6 at 126lbs. 

In Class 3-2-1A it's the Riverside Cyclones leading the way in the polls as there are three Cyclone wrestlers in the latest KWCA rankings. Senior, Scott Resler continues to own the #2 spot at 145lbs as he has for several weeks, while sophomore, Luke Horn and junior, Jacob MacKnight each jump into the rankings at #6 in their weight classes of 138lbs and 195lbs, respectively. 

Sabetha Bluejays have two wrestlers remain in the latest KWCA rankings as junior, Elliot Strahm jumps up three spots to #3 at 285lbs and freshman, Kaden Dillon falls one spot to #6 at 113lbs. 

Royal Valley Panther senior, Dalton Ware continues to hold down the #3 spot at 120lbs, while Pleasant Ridge junior, Trevor Ragland and Doniphan West senior, Zeb Speer each once again come in ranked #5 at 106lbs and 160lbs, respectively. Oskaloosa senior, Jared Miller continues to hold the #6 spot in Class 3-2-1A at 182lbs in the latest KWCA rankings.
