The regular season is in the books and now all wrestlers in the state of Kansas turn their attention to Regionals looming Friday and Saturday, February 16th and 17th. With the regular season in the books the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released its latest rankings which feature 14 area wrestlers and now two area teams.

Class 4A has featured Marysville Bulldog wrestling team in the polls a majority of the season and continues to do so as the Bulldogs come in at #9 in the Top 10. The Bulldogs are now joined by another area wrestling team as the Holton Wildcats have broken into the team rankings for the first time this year checking in at #10.

Marysville continues to be lead in the rankings by sophomore, Storm Slupianik who once again holds down the #1 spot at 160lbs in the rankings as he has held the top spot the past few weeks. Sophomore, Jonny Crome continues to hold the #5 spot at 132lbs.

Holton Wildcats have three grapplers in the rankings again this week with senior, Kyler Tannahill leading the way checkin in at #2 again at 285lbs in Class 4A. Senior, Lawson Henry once again sits at #5 in the polls at 138lbs, while sophomore, Kolby Roush ranks #6 at 126lbs for the Wildcats.

Class 3-2-1A rankings look familiar when it comes to area wrestlers in the polls as they all remained ranked from the previous week. Riverside Cyclones lead the area wrestlers in the 3-2-1A polls as senior, Scott Resler (145lbs), sophomore, Luke Horn (138lbs) and junior, Jacob MacKnight (195lbs) remain in the rankings coming in at #2, #6 and #6 again this week.

Two Sabetha Bluejay wrestlers are in the rankings again this week with no movement in the polls as junior, Elliot Strahm (285lbs) and Kaden Dillon (113lbs) rank #2 and #6, respectively.

Royal Valley senior, Dalton Ware ranks #3 again this week at 120lbs, while Doniphan West senior, Zeb Speer continues to hold the #5 spot at 160lbs. Pleasant Ridge junior, Trevor Ragland maintains his #5 ranking at 106lbs and Oskaloosa senior, Jared Miller stays put at #6 at 182lbs.

All wrestlers now turn their attention to earning a bid to the State tournament as they compete in Regionals this weekend.
