Holton & Maur Hill Golfers Lead Area Performances at MH-MA Invite

As the regular season portion of the boys golf season starts to wrap up area teams hit the links in Atchison at the Maur Hill-Mount Academy Invite. 

While seven area schools were represented on the day only two field full teams and only three schools overall in action had full teams. Bonner Springs had the best team score with a 345 followed by the host Maur Hill-Mount Academy with a 360 and Holton posted a team score of 369. 

Holton Wildcat, AJ Haussler once again this season posted the best score at competition as he carded a 79 to take first place. Fellow Wildcat, Ryan Taylor also medaled earning eighth place after shooting an 89 on the day. Also in competition for Holton were Drew Morris, Karson Brandt and Rafe Folk posting rounds of 99, 102 and 109. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy a trio of Top 10 finishes on the day led by Isaac Henderson who shot an 84 to take third place. Riley Funk and Cole Harris notched rounds of 85 and 95 to place fifth and tenth, respectively. Also in action for the Ravens were Austin Coder and Carson Schroeder who shot 96 and 109 on the links. 

Atchison's lone golfer, Nathan Sowers earned seventh place behind an 89 on the course in the action. 

Royal Valley, Hiawatha, Horton and Oskaloosa all had golfers in action also on the day. The Panthers were led by Corey Humpert who shot a 95, while DJ Kester finished with a 107. Hiawatha was led by Caden Lillie who finished with a 96 and Trevor Pederson carded a 119. Horton had Cole Bottom shot a 98, while Drake Waser and Kyle Hammersmith post rounds of 108 and 109. Oskaloosa was led by Even Forshee who posted a 97, while Darryl Hayes and Owen Meyer posted rounds of 121 and 143.
