2019 Northeast Kansas All-League Football – Selections

The high school football season is set to officially wrap up on Saturday with state championship games and throughout the last two weeks area all-league selections have started to roll in with the Northeast Kansas League the latest to announce their selections.

The NEKL title this season was claimed by Maur Hill-Mount Academy who captured their first league title in 27 years with five guys earning first team honors. The Ravens had seniors Abe Siebenmorgen and Jack Caudle earn selections on both offense and defense with Siebenmorgen at tight end and middle linebacker while Caudle earned selections at quarterback and defensive back. The Ravens also had Shane Sachse earn a spot on the offensive line, Willie Kesinger on the defensive line and Taylor Folsom at kicker.

The second spot in the league was shared between Jackson Heights and Jeff County North with the Cobras leading first team selections with five. Jackson Heights had four guys earn selections on both sides of the ball with Carson Williams and Taylor Wamego on both lines, Cooper Williams at running back and defensive back, Riley Watkins at offensive line and linebacker and Jason Bosley at a slot back position.

JCN finished with three guys on the first team with Landon Gutschenritter at a slot position, Caleb McAfee on the offensive line and Logan Budy at linebacker.

Pleasant Ridge claimed the fourth spot in the league with four guys onto the first team led by junior Jake Heckman who was named an offensive and defensive specialist while Keaton Comer earned first team at defensive back and punter. Along with those two guys Dawson Bertrand was named to the offensive line and Robert Gwartney at defensive line.

The first team all-league first teams were rounded out by ACCHS and McLouth as the Tigers had Tucker Smith at running back and linebacker along with Tystin Myers as a returner, while the Bulldogs had Landon Drinkard on the defensive line.
