Rulo native is Doane WBB MVP

(KLZA)-- Doane University Athletics held the annual Athletics Awards Ceremony on Monday evening. This year the ceremony was pre recorded and broadcasted for Doane students and fans to watch as the most valuable players, scholar-athlete awards, and female & male athletes of the year were recognized.
Haylee Heits, a junior from Rulo and a Falls City Sacred Heart graduate was named as the Doane Women's Basketball Most Valuable Player for the past season. 

Heits earned 2nd team all  conference honors in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and finished second in the league in scoring at 14.3 points per game and second in rebound at 7.2 boards per game.
