Area high school volleyball teams were in action on Saturday at the Wabaunsee Invitational and the best finish of any area team came from McLouth who took second in the afternoon quad.

The Lady Bulldogs went 2-1 on the day with two-set wins over Axtell and Mission Valley and a three-set loss to Wabaunsee.

In the morning quad Centralia finished third with a 1-2 record which included a win over Oskaloosa who finished fourth.

The only other area team that competed at Wabaunsee was Axtell who finished fourth.
