Six Area Teams Highlight Week One Kansas Volleyball Association Rankings

The first full week of the high school volleyball season wrapped up last week and with that the Kansas Volleyball Association has released their first regular season rankings for the year featuring six area teams.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats are the only ranked team as the Lady Cats check in at No. 8 moving up one spot despite suffering a pair of losses to Perry Lecompton Tuesday night.

The most ranked area teams come in Class 3A as three Big 7 League teams are ranked with Royal Valley continuing to hold the top overall spot at 9-0 while Sabetha is sixth at 8-0 and Nemaha Central ninth at 4-2.

The final two ranked area teams come in Class 2A as Valley Heights continues to be ranked No. 1 with a 7-1 record while Jeff County North is fourth at 4-0.
