Six Area Teams Highlight Week Three High School Football State Rankings

Kpreps Week Three – Rankings

Two weeks of the high school football season are in the books and six area teams continue to be ranked in the latest polls.

In Class 3A the Perry Lecompton Kaws remain at No. 2 following a 47-7 beat down of Hiawatha last week while Holton is right behind in third at 2-0 following a 55-13 blowout of Chapman.

The Kaws and Wildcats will meet up this week in what could possibly determine the Big 7 League Champion for 2020 with live coverage on 103.9 KNZA.

In Class 2A Nemaha Central continues to hold serve in the top five checking in this week at No. 4 following an impressive 36-6 win over 4A Eudora last week.

Two more area teams are ranked in Class 1A with Valley Heights second at 2-0 while Centralia is right behind in third after a bounce back win over Troy last Friday.

Centralia will have a big meeting this week with Jackson Heights who is just outside of the rankings with live coverage Friday night on 92.1 KMZA.

The final ranked area team comes in 8-man DII as Axtell is ranked third with a 2-0 record following a 48-0 beatdown of Cornerstone last week in a game that was ended at halftime.
