The defending Class 2A State Champions are one win away from advancing back to the title game following a 7-0 win at Osage City on Friday night. Nemaha Central scored the only points of the game on a three-yard touchdown run by quarterback Zac Kramer in the first quarter. It was the seventh consecutive win for Nemaha (8-2) and third shutout on the season as they forced four turnovers and held the Indians on two seperate goal-to-goal situations.

The Thunder defense was phenominal all night holding down an Osage City team that came in averaging 45 points and more than 400 yards per game. The Indians had only 37 total yards in the second half and did not get the ball in the final 8:49 of the game as Nemaha Central closed the contest with a 19-play-drive.

Gage Palic had 58 yards rushing and 21 receiving to pace the Thunder and Zac Kramer threw for 189 yards hitting five different receivers. Tyler Gerety had 87 yards on 6 receptions while Landen Baker hauled in 67 yards on his three catches.

Nemaha advances to face Rossville (11-0) in Sub State this week after the #1 ranked Bulldogs thumped Pitt Colgan 56-7 in their Sectional.
