11 Local Wrestlers Highlight Final KWCA Rankings

Feb. 23 KWCA Rankings – 4A, 321A, Girls-DII

The high school wrestling season is set to wrap up this weekend with area athletes competing at respective state meets and with that the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the final state rankings for the year featuring 11 local athletes.

In Class 4A six guys are ranked this weekend including four from Holton who has Jake Barnes ranked fifth at 120 pounds, Jayden Fletcher fifth at 152, Konnor Tannahill first at 195 and Dalton Roush fourth at 220.

Perry Lecompton rounds out 4A with two more guys ranked as Thad Metcalfe is ranked second at 160 pounds while Hayden Robb is second at 285.

In the 321A classification just one guy is ranked this week led by ACCHS’ Mason Scholz who is the No. 2-ranked wrestler in the 132-pound weight class.

On the girl’s side of the rankings four area ranked this week led by two girls out of the Big 7 League with Royal Valley’s Maya Ogden ranked second at 138 pounds while Sabetha’s Kylie Meredith is second at 235.

Oskaloosa and ACCHS round out the rankings this week as the Bears Allison King is ranked fifth at 155 pounds while the Tigers Tannah Forbes is the top ranked wrestler at 191.
