Nemaha Central Boys Track Takes Second at Silver Lake

Silver Lake Invitational – Results

The Nemaha Central track and field teams were in action for the first time this season Thursday afternoon at the Silver Lake Invitational and the Thunder boys came away with a second-place team finish to lead the way.

The Thunder boys had four first place finishes as Cooper Hajek won the 400-meter dash, Dylan Lortscher the high jump, Mo Hilbert the pole vault and Nathan Deters the shot put.

The Nemaha Central girls had just two first place finishes with one by Hannah Scott who won the javelin and got second in the shot put while the Thunder 4 by 100-meter relay team also won gold.

The Thunder girls also got a second-place finish by the 4 by 400-meter relay team while Hailey Nordus was third in the 100-meter dash and Ella Larkin fourth.
