Nemaha Central Invitational – Results

It was a busy night for area track teams Tuesday night with nearly all local teams in action and at the Nemaha Central Invitational it was the host Thunder who swept the night.

The Thunder girls were dominant with eight first place finishes on the night led by Hailey Nordus who won the 400-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles while Julie Rottinghaus won the long jump, triple jump, and 100-meter dash. Hannah Scott added a first place in the shot put, Heather Suther the 200-meter dash and the 4 by 100-meter relay team also taking first.

Valley Heights added two first place finishes with Emma Yungeberg winning the javelin while the 4 by 400-meter also took gold.

Onaga had the only other first place finish as Rebecca Krohn captured the 3200-meter run.

On the boy’s side Nemaha Central won the team title with seven first place finished led by Dylan Lortscher who won the 110 and 300-meter hurdles along with the high jump. John Langill also won the 3200-meter run, Sam McWilliams the triple jump and Nathan Deters the double dip of the shot put and discus.

Centralia rounded out the meet with five first place finishes as Ian Haverkamp won the javelin, Raef Osterhaus the long jump, William Collinge the 800-meter run, Derek Ronnebaum the pole vault and the 4 by 100-meter relay team taking first.
