Sabetha Boys Golf Wins Big 7 League Tourney; NC Post Top-Two Finishers

The Big 7 League Boys Golf Tournament was held on Wednesday afternoon at Firekeeper Golf Course and it was the Sabetha Bluejays earning the team title for 2022. 

Sabetha tallied a team score of 370 which was two strokes better than Nemaha Central. The Thunder had the top two finishes in the field with Carter Lutz winning the individual title with an 83 while Isaac Lueger finished second with an 84. 

Sabetha had four in the top 10 with Matt Whittaker who tied for fourth with an 89, Dalton Rokey finishes sixth with 91, Cole Grimes seventh with a 92, and Cullen Wikle who tied for 10th with a 98. 

Jefferson West finished in third place as a team with a score of 383. The Tigers best finish came from Lake Peet who took third place with an 88. Sam Brunton finished in eighth place with a 94. 

Holton finished in fourth place as a team with a score of 409 and the Wildcats best finish was posted by Parker Crouch who finished in fourth place with an 89. 

Royal Valley rounded out the team scoring as they finished with a score of 554.
