KBCA Releases First Rankings in February

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released their first rankings for the month of February with the season one week closer to coming to an end.

The Nemaha Central girls stay at #3 in Class 3A with ACCHS two spots behind them at #5. The Tigers move up one spot from last week’s rankings.

In Class 2A, Riverside moves up to #3 and Jackson Heights falls to #7.

Frankfort moves back into the rankings after being left out last week as they move to #7 in the latest 1A-D1 poll. Clifton-Clyde dropped three spots to #8 and Doniphan West dropped one spot to #9.

Hanover remains perfect on the regular season so they stay at the top of Class 1A-D2.

For the boys, Atchison and Sabetha stay atop Class 4A and 3A, respectively. Marysville moved down one spot to #8 in the newest poll.

Clifton-Clyde moved up two spots to #2 in the state in Class 1A-D1 and Centralia slid down to #6 after being #2 last week. Blue Valley also moved up two spots to #5 in the state.

In 1A-D2, Axtell and Hanover both move up one spot to #3 and #4, respectively.
