4-1A Girls Regional Wrestling Results

The 4-1A Girls Regional Wrestling Tournament was held on Saturday in Rossville with three area wrestlers winning Regional Championships. 

Oskaloosa had the duo of Allison King and Holly Thacher continuing their dominant seasons winning Regional Championships. Thacher at 105 and King at 155. Both are the defending State Champions and will look to repeat at state. 

Nakita Lawrence of Sabetha was also a Regional Champion as she won the bracket at 135 defeating Nora Prather of Baldwin in the finals. 

There were a few runner-up finishes that includes Sophie Waters of Jefferson West at 120, Leighanna Patz of McLouth at 130, Morissa Ware of Holton at 140, Ella Johnson of Marysville at 145, and Hannah Simmers of ACCHS at 170. 

Third place finishers included Lexie Larson of Holton at 110, Jenica Hubbard of Marysville at 125, and Karoline Tannahill of Holton at 235. 

Baldwin, Santa Fe Trail, and Tonganoxie posted the top three team scores. Marysville finished in eighth, Holton finished in ninth, and Oskaloosa finished 10th. 

Other team finishes included McLouth 11th, Jefferson West 12th, Sabetha 14th, ACCHS 15th, and Perry Lecompton 19th.
