The Riverside girls basketball team won the Sub-State Championship on Saturday night in Horton by beating Jackson Heights 55-42.
The Cyclones used an 11-0 run late in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Cobras.
It was quite the turnaround season for Riverside as they were 10-12 overall last season and now they're off to the 2A State Tournament this season with a record of 20-3.
Riverside landed the 4-seed in the 8-team field in Manhattan and they will play 5-seed Wichita Independent on Thursday, March 9th at 4:00 PM at Bramlage Coliseum.
