The Kansas High School Media Softball Rankings have been released for Monday, April 24.
In Class 4A, Atchison is ranked eighth with a record of 9-3. They had their eight game winning streak snapped on Monday night with a couple of losses to McLouth.
Holton is being considered for the top 10 as the Wildcats are 9-3 as they have won five straight and six of their last seven games.
Wamego, Mulvane, Pratt, Rose Hill, and McPherson are the current top five in 4A.
In Class 2-1A, the Troy Trojans are the current number one ranked team with an undefeated record of 16-0 after they swept Horton on Monday night with wins of 16-0 and 17-0. Troy finished runner-up at the State Tournament last season.
McLouth is also undefeated with a record of 15-0 and they are ranked sixth. They just took two from Atchison with wins of 10-0 and 15-0 on Monday. The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents 211-6 this season and they haven't allowed a run in nearly two weeks.
Troy and McLouth are in the same Regional plus they will face off in a doubleheader on Monday, May 1st at McLouth.
The current top five in 2-1A are Troy, Central Heights, Northeast Arma, Bluestem, and Oxford.
