West Franklin High School hosted a track and field meet on Thursday, April 17 with a handful of area teams taking part in the event. 

The top local finish came from the Jefferson County North boys who finished in third place out of the 13 team field. 

The Chargers finished the meet with 70 points behind only Osage City with 170 points and West Franklin with 106 points. 

Atchison finished in sixth place as the Phoenix finished the meet with 31 points. Perry-Lecompton finished tied for eighth place with 19 points. 

The JCN girls boasted a sixth place finish as they finished the meet with 42 points. The Osage City girls won the meet with 116 points followed by West Franklin with 91 points and Wabaunsee with 81 points. 

Oskaloosa (34), Atchison (24), and Perry-Lecompton (22) all finished inside the top 10. Complete meet results can be found here.
