Area track and field teams competed at the Lions Club Invite hosted by Republic County on Tuesday, April 22.
UPPER DIVISION
The Nemaha Central boys finished the meet with 94 points which was good for a second place finish behind only Beloit who finished with 119 points.
Republic County finished with 85 points, Concordia finished with 80 points, and Valley Heights finished with 75 points to round out the top five in the team standings.
Marysville finished with 50 points and Minneapolis finished with 48 points.
The Beloit girls dominated the meet winning with 176 points while Marysville finished in second place with 117 points and Nemaha Central in third place with 98 points.
Concordia finished with 82 points, Republic County finished with 37 points, Valley Heights finished with 27 points, and Minneapolis finished with 20 points to round out the team standings.
LOWER DIVISION
The Axtell boys with another solid outing as they won the meet with 176 points while second place Clifton-Clyde finished the meet with 82 points.
Washington County finished with 72 points, Lincoln finished with 61 points, and Blue Valley-Randolph finished with 53 points to round out the top five in the team standings.
Hanover finished with 43 points, Pike Valley finished with 29 points, Linn finished with 27 points, Tescott finished with 9 points, and Lakeside finished with 2 points.
The top three was more of a battle on the girls side as Washington County would win the meet finishing with 117 points.
Clifton-Clyde took second place with 99 points and Axtell finished in third place with 72 points. Hanover and Blue Valley-Randolph finished with 63 and 61 points respectively to round out the top five.
Lincoln finished with 47 points, Tescott finished with 32 points, Pike Valley finished with 27 points, Linn finished with 22 points, and Lakeside finished with 12 points.
