The Jefferson West girls golf team opened their season on Thursday afternoon hosting the Jefferson West Open at Forbes Golf Course.
The tournament was nine holes and the Tigers would win the tournament with a team score of 169.
Silver Lake finished in second place with a team score of 178, Nemaha Central finished in fourth place with a score of 237, and St. Marys finished in sixth place with a score of 251.
Jeff West was led by Dearah Garrett who tied for second place with a round of 40, Izzy Higgins finished in solo fourth place with a round of 41, and Addison Fechter tied for fifth place with a round of 42.
Silver Lake was led by Kailyn Hanni who tied for second place with a round of 40, Avenley Head tied for fifth place with a 42, and Savanah Wende finished in solo seventh place with a round of 43.
It was the first ever girls golf tournament for Nemaha Central as they were led by Bella Haverkamp who tied for 19th place with a round of 55.
Emily Huffman of Santa Fe Trail won the individual title with an even par round of 36.
