Not quite the 216 combined points from the game last season, but an exciting game in the boys all-star game at Highland CC on Sunday afternoon.

Each team controlled a half of play as Gold led after the first 20 minutes 40-31, and Navy outscoring Gold in the second half 48-38.

The final point of the game which sealed the win for Navy was a free throw by Frankfort's Wes Anderson. Troy's Henry Geiger countered with a three-point attempt at the buzzer for Gold, but it fell short.

Isaac Laird of Jefferson County North finished with 15 points and five rebounds, Michael Jensen of Hiawatha finished with 13 points and six rebounds, and Yogi Purdy of Atchison finished with 10 points and three rebounds.

Laird helped JCN this season to a 14-win improvement from the previous season, Jensen was part of the core at Hiawatha that won their first league title in 16 seasons this year, and Purdy helped Atchison to a fourth place finish in Class 4A.

Gold finished the game with 11 players in the scoring column with two in double figures. Troy's Henry Geiger finished with the games lone double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Axtell's Colin Shaughnessy added 11 points and five rebounds.
