Washington County Track Sweeps Frankfort Arctic Meet

The Washington County track and field squads swept the Frankfort Arctic Meet on Thursday afternoon at Schroeder Field. 

Starting with the girls with the Tigers finishing the day with 117 points while Centralia finished in second with 109 points and Onaga in third place with 61 points. 

Alyssa Jueneman led the Tigers with three first place finishes in the 100m, 200m, and the long jump. They also got first place finishes from Nora Brabec in the 3200m, Anna Goeckel in the 300m hurdles and high jump, and Macie Gepner in the javelin. 

Centralia won both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events while also getting first place finishes from Keelyn Rempe in both the 400m and 800m, and Kaylee Olberding in the 1600m.

Onaga finished with four first place finishes with Emmarsyn Fordham in both the shot put and discus, and Lillie Weiser in both the pole vault and triple jump. 

The Washington County boys finished the day with 126 points while Frankfort finished in second with 100.5 points, and Centralia in third with 92 points. 

The Tiger boys had quite a few top finishes which included Tucker Huband in the 200m, Michael Peterson in the 400m, Gavyn LeDuc in the javelin, Chayse Gross in the long jump, and Tanner Baker in the triple jump. 

Frankfort got top finishes from Creighton Farrar in the 100m, 110m hurdles, and 300m hurdles, Fred Rosquist in the shot put and discus, and Keagyn Willard in the high jump. 

Centralia finished the day winning the 4x800m relay while also getting first place finishes from Gavin Fulkerson in the 800m, Kristopher Fulkerson in the 1600m and 3200m, and Jayce Schmitz in the pole vault.
