The McLouth softball team rallied from down 7-0 on Monday afternoon to defeat Jackson Heights in Northeast Kansas League play by a final score of 16-10.
The Cobras jumped out early with four runs in the first inning highlighted by a three-run home run off the bat of Gracie Cowsert.
Layla Cochren would add an RBI single in the second and Cowsert would add an RBI double in the third inning.
McLouth was trailing 7-0 going into the bottom of the third inning and they would finish that frame with an 8-7 advantage.
The Bulldogs sent 14 batters to the plate in the third and pounded out 10 hits. Kinlee Wolfe hit a three-run home run, Berkley Meyers provided a two-RBI double, Claire Forsberg had an RBI single, and Madison Turner drove in two with a double.
McLouth would go on to add four more runs in the fourth inning and four more insurance runs in the sixth inning to win a wild one at Patterson Field.
