Canon Karn

This week’s “Blast from the Past” is former Holton Wildcat Canon Karn who’s off to a great start in his sophomore season as a starting linebacker at Baker University.

Canon leads the Baker defense through four games with 41 total tackles while also adding three tackles for loss.

This is after he led the team in tackles last season with 75 while adding five tackles for loss, two and a half sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Baker is 2-2 to start the season and is coming off a loss to Peru State in which Canon led the team with 11 tackles in the game.

His senior season at Holton, Canon had 69 total tackles and also rushed for 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns. His prep career saw him rush for over 2,100 yards and 29 touchdowns while averaging over nine yards per carry.

He earned All-Big 7 and All-State honors multiple times and represented Holton at the Kansas Shrine Bowl.
