Benedictine alumnus Chris Tabor was recently named the interim head coach for the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich in late November after a 1-10 start.

Tabor is in his second season with Carolina after being the special teams coordinator of the Chicago Bears from 2018-21 and was with the Cleveland Browns from 2011-17 in the same role.

Tabor played for the Ravens from 1988-92 and was inducted into Benedictine’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021. He is ninth all-time in passing yards at Benedictine. Tabor helped the Ravens to their first Heart of America Athletic Conference championship in 1992 with an appearance in the NAIA National Semifinals.
