Former Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven, Carly Taylor Helping Benedictine Find Success in Volleyball

The Benedictine Ravens volleyball team has found a groove lately winning four of the last five matches and now sit at 11-5 on the season and 4-4 in Heart of America Conference play.

A gal that has helped led to the Ravens success on the court is former Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven, Carly Taylor who has recorded double figure digs in five of the last six matches including a 20 dig performance in a win over Baker. Taylor has played in all 16 matches this season in 58 sets and tallied 125 digs, while also adding three aces, two kills, two assists and a block.

Now in her sophomore season Taylor jumped into the fold last year as a freshman seeing action in 86 sets recording 225 digs, 15 aces, 11 assists and two kills.

In high school Taylor enjoyed plenty of success on the volleyball court and other sports also as a multi-sport athlete. Her senior year saw Taylor record 617 digs, 133 assists, 79 aces and 46 kills for Maur Hill-Mount Academy. During her four-years at Maur Hill she was selected All-League all four and earned All-State 3A honors twice and also played in the annual Kansas Volleyball Association All-Star game has a top senior in the State.

Taylor and the Lady Ravens volleyball team hopes to continue their success throughout the rest of the season as they continue to build.
