Former JCN Charger, Jacee Kramer Off to Strong Start to Senior Year at Emporia State

Many athletes have passion for the game they play and that passion is quite evident in when watching former Jefferson County North Charger, Jacee Kramer who has been continuing her basketball career the past few years at Emporia State helping the Hornets succeed on the court.

Kramer now in her senior season at Emporia State is looking to help the Hornets notch another season to remember as she wraps up her college basketball career. Six games into the season Emporia State is 4-2 on the year and Jacee has played and started all six games averaging 28 minutes per contest. She helping lead the charge for the Hornets with 12.8 points per game while adding 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. The former JCN Charger had one of her best performances in the most Hornets fourth win over the season on Thursday November 29th as they won 107-88 over Oklahoma Christian and Kramer tallied 18 points and added five rebounds and three assists. Back in the season opener she posted 16 points against Southwestern Oklahoma and has netted double figures in four of the six games this season.

The former JCN Charger jumped right into the fold as a freshman for the Hornets seeing action in 34 games off the bench and has now played in 105 contests spanning her four years. Kramer has amassed 623 points on the court for Emporia State.

Back in high school at JCN, Kramer helped the lady Chargers to three trips to the Class 2A State Championship contest with the Chargers winning the State title in 2011-12. While at JCN she averaged 26 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.3 steals per game and was named first team All-State in Class 2A.

The Hornets are looking to sting their opponents and put together a strong year and Kramer looks to be a big part of the team’s success as a top scorer and senior leader.
