JCN Chargers Run Their Way to Success in the Troy CC Invite

Cross country meets all around the Kanzaland area were taking place yesterday and over in Troy the Trojans hosted an Invitational meet, featuring five other teams; four from the Delaware Valley league and one from the Twin Valley league.

It was the Jefferson County North Chargers highlighting the meet both the girls and boys team crowns and had seven top 10 finishers in the girls competition, with six top 10 finishers in the boys competition, also. It was a one-two-three-four finish in the girls race for the Chargers with Mallory Kramer capturing the top time, 16:34.80, on the day. Kramer was followed by her Charger teammates, Laramie Leakey, Carissa McAfee and Abbie Weishaar who finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

The Chargers didn't stop with those top 10 finishers as Savannah Lane, Jordyn Mize and Molly Bassette placed sixth through eighth, respectively. JCN was not the only team to have top 10 finishers, as Riverside Cylcone, Morgan Ruhl took fifth place, Troy's, Nicole Stanton place ninth and Savannah Noble rounded out the top 10 for McLouth.

On the boys side, it was again JCN to highlight the top 10, sweeping the top three spots and placing a runner in sixth, eighth and ninth places. Dallas Edwards one of the top runners in the DVL raced his way to the top overall spot at the Troy Invite with a time of 17:00.41, with his teammates Devon Wilson and Ty Brickell finishing second and third, respectively after Edwards. Ole Eidsuig took sixth for JCN, Skyler Deviney placed eighth and Matt Sutz placed ninth.

Riverside Cylcones featured two top 10 finishers for the boys at fourth and fifth with Dylan Gabriel and Brandon Wolfing, respectively. Valley Heights Mustangs, Blake Woodyard took seventh place, while McLouth runner, Ryan Bristol place tenth.
