Atchison hands Wyandotte first loss
By Tom Kautz

Wyandotte was celebrating Homecoming, it's 75th Anniversary, and an undefeated football record Friday night.  Atchison High let none of that become a distraction as the Redmen took an impressive KCAL road win.

It was a battle of the defenses as the first half was played between the 20's.  It was scoreless as the halftime festivities were held.

The Bulldogs struck first.  A 40 yard pass from Dominic McKenzie to Antonio Moore followed by a failed PAT gave Wyandotte the early 3rd quarter lead 6-0.

From that point it was all Redmen.  Atchison took 1:08 to score the tying TD on a 2 yard run by Austin Housh.  Tanner Huntington's PAT gave AHS the lead for good.

The fourth quarter featured strong running by Patrick Boos and two more Atchison touchdowns by QB Tanner Huntington who also added the point afters, and the  Redmen finished with a 21-6 victory.

Atchison (3-1, 1-1) meets Harmon in KCAL action next week.  Wyandotte (3-1, 2-1) will host Schlagle.
