Benedictine Football Picked 5th In HAAC Pre-Season Poll
By Tom Kautz

The Heart of America Athletic Conference held its 2013 Football Media Day in Kansas City Tuesday and, when the ballots were tabulated, Benedictine College settled in at #5 in the coaches poll.

Leading the poll was Missouri Valley College who won its first 12 games of last season and lost a close game for the National Championship.  Mid-America Nazerine had 2 first place votes and placed second in the poll.

Baker took third in the poll, followed by Evangel and then Benedictine.  The last two spots in the top 5 were decided by just five voting points as Evangel edged Benedictine 56-51.

BC kicks off the season Saturday, August 31 as the Ravens host Briar Cliff University at 1:00 in Wilcox Stadium.  Catch the game and all BC games through the 2013 season on KAIR!
