Delaware Valley League Volleyball Postseason Leauge Play Set

With regular seasons coming to a close for fall sports teams are gearing up for postseason action and up first are league tournaments. For the Delaware Valley League they conduct their league tourney a little different than most as they have mini tournaments with their 14 members of the league.

The matchups are set for the mini DVL volleyball tournaments and will be played on October 16th. Here is a rundown on how the matchups for the mini tourneys breakdown. The top two teams in the North and South were scheduled to play at the first place North school, but Muar Hill Mount Academy as declined that option thus Riverside will host the games. The third and four place finishers in the North and South play at third place North school. While the fifth and sixth place teams in each division play at the fifth place North school and the two seventh place teams play each other at the seventh place North school.  

Below are a list of the final DVL standings and the tournament play brackets

DVL North standings (league record):

1. Maur Hill-Mount Academy (4-2)
2. Riverside (4-2)
3. ACCHS (4-2)
4. Horton (4-2)
5. Doniphan West (3-3)
6. Troy (1-5)
7. Jackson Heights (1-5)

DVL South standings (league record):

1. Valley Falls (6-0)
2. Jefferson County North (5-1)
3. Immaculata (4-2)
4. Pleasant Ridge (3-3)
5. Oskaloosa (2-4)
6. KC Christian (1-5)
7. McLouth (0-6)

 

Top 2 teams from each division meet at Riverside:
JCN will play Maur Hill Mount Academy and Valley Falls will play Riverside

3rd & 4th place division finishers meet at ACCHS: 
Pleasant Ridge will play ACCHS and Immaculata will play Horton

5th & 6th place division finishers meet at Doniphan West:
Oskaloosa will play Troy and KC Christian will play Doniphan West

7th place division finishers game will be at Jackson Heights:
McLouth will play Jackson Heights
