The Missouri High School State Cross Country Meet will take place in Jefferson City on Saturday.
    At the District meet last weekend the Tarkio boys and girls teams qualified for the state meet along with several individuals from area schools in Class I.
    The Tarkio boys finished second to West Platte in the District with 71 points.  Rock Port was third with 77.
    The Tarkio team members qualifying for state are Michael McMahon who finished 7th at the district meet;  Seth Fletcher with an 8th place finish;  John Lang who was 15th,  Austin Poppa and Bryce White.
    Individual qualifiers include Gage Lemmon and Corbin Minter from Rock Port.
    The Tarkio girls also placed second with 57 points . Rock Port was third with 59 and Mound City was fourth.
    Tarkio team members competing at state on Saturday will be Baleigh Ohrt who was 10th, Destiny Klosek who placed 13th,  Abby McEnaney, Mariana Villigrana and Halry Conn.
    Individual qualifiers were Lacy Kirkland of Rock Port who was second;  Kendy Eaton a freshman from Mound City who was fourth,  and Leslie Kirkland of Rock Port who placed 15th.
