All Delaware Valley League Volleyball Teams Announced

With volleyball season fully in the books postseason awards have started to be handed out and here in the Kanzaland area the Delaware Valley League has announced their all league teams.

The all league volleyball teams in the DVL are broke down into the two divisions, north and south. Leading the way in the North division was Riverside who finished second in the DVL North this season and placed third in the DVL tournament. Seniors, Allie Simonin and Connor Schultz along with juniors, Erica Halter and Kimberly Euler were picked all league. ACCHS, Horton and Doniphan West all saw two players each make the all league DVL North team. For the Tigers it was senior, Allison Wallisch and sophomore, Rachel Newquist, while for the Horton Chargers it was a pair of seniors in Megan Voyles and Kristen Gracey. Doniphan West Mustangs notched two seniors also on the all league team with Kassiday Blevins and Clarissa Billups earning the honors.

Rounding out the DVL North all league team was Troy senior, Claire Turpin and Maur Hill-Mount Academy sophomore, Catherine Campbell.

Eleven others in the North earned honorable mention honors: Maur Hill-Mount Academy---Carly Taylor (Freshman), Sarah Mullins (Senior); ACCHS---Lillie Holtgrave (Sophomore); Horton---Allison Becker (Junior), Amber Wilhelm (Junior); Doniphan West---Scotti Twombly (Junior); Jackson Heights---Tara Lierz (Junior), Blake Fund (Senior); Troy---Josie Smith (Freshman), Paige Fenley (Senior), Tanner Weishaar (Senior).

In the DVL South the all league team was full of Jefferson County North Chargers who took second in the DVL tournament and fourth at state in Class 2A and Valley Falls who finished as first in the DVL. For the Chargers three juniors, Jamie Navinsky, Jacee Kramer and Heather Polson all made it to the all league South team and helped spark a great Charger season. For the Dragons of Valley Falls they were lead by two seniors, Kolbie Glissman and Molly Tillery who earned all league honors with sophomore, Emily Lane, also.

Immaculata Raiders, also placed three players on the DVL South all league team with two seniors and a sophomore. Mary Thorne and Molly Abbott both seniors lead the way for the Raiders and Grace Parker a sophomore. Pleasant Ridge placed two seniors, also on the all league team with Jordan Adams and Ashten Langley, while a senior from McLouth and Oskaloosa both earned all league honors. For McLouth it was Kaitlyn Hullinger and for Oskaloosa it was Erin Bowser.

Eight others in the South earned honorable mention honors: Jefferson County North---Kymee Noll (Senior), Kylie Manville (Junior), Kayla Jobbins (Junior); Immaculata---Megan Abbott (Senior); Pleasant Ridge---Brokke Wagner (Senior); Oskaloosa---Taylor Willits (Senior), Nicole Kruse (Senior); McLouth---Summer Cerny (Sophomore).
