Twin Valley League 11-Man Football All-League Honors Handed Out

It proved to be another highly competitive year in the Twin Valley League as three members of the 11-man football portion of the TVL made the playoffs. With the season in the books the TVL football All-League honors have been handed out. 

The Troy Trojans claimed their first TVL football title and went on to claim their first ever State title winning the Class 2-1A State championship and finished the year 13-0. Seven different Trojans picked up All-League honors. Both Wil Smith and Cuttar Huss earned first team All-League at three positions each, Smith got the nod at offensive guard, defensive end and punter, while Huss picked up All-League honors at receiver, defensive back and return specialist. Alex Martinez snagged first team All-League honors at outside linebacker and kicker, while Brody Winder earned first team All-League at receiver and second team honors at defensive line. Reid Greaser was selected first team All-League quarterback, while Wyatt Huss picked up first team All-League honors at defensive tackle and Kortin Blevins earned second team All-League at linebacker. 

Washington County Tigers finished second in TVL with an 8-3 mark overall and 3-1 in the League making the playoffs for the second straight year and winning a first round playoff game in the 2-1A playoffs. Eight Tigers picked up All-League honors led by Hunter Kier and Jarred Otott who earned first team All-League on both offense and defense. Kier picked up All-League first team honors at runningback and inside linebacker, while Otott got first team honors at offensive guard and defensive tackle. Dylan Nelson was named first team All-League on offense at tackle and second team defense at defensive line, while Dawson Miller snagged first team honors at outside linebacker and second team nod at receiver on offense. Jae Eaton and Levi Gauby each earned first team All-League at runningback and defensive end respectively. Second team defense honors were also earned by Riley Moore and Jacob Latta of the Tigers at linebacker and defensive back, respectively. 

Valley Heights Mustangs put together their best season in years finishing 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the TVL to finish in third in the League, while also making the 2-1A playoffs. Nine Mustangs earned All-League honors with Harrison Blaske leading the way getting first team All-League at receiver and inside linebacker. Hunter Stevenson, Logan Woodyard and Garrett Link all three earned first team and second team All-League honors. Stevenson picked up first team honors at runningback and second team at defensive back, while Woodyard named first team defensive back and second team as a back on offense and Garrett Link snagged first team defensive end honors and second team offensive line. Dalton Joseph and Jordan Yungeberg picked up first team All-League honors on offense at center and fullback. Will Yungeberg notched second team honors at both offensive and defensive line, while Payden Yungeberg out the second team nod at linebacker and second team honors were earned by Brady Trimble at offensive line. 

The Centralia Panthers finished fourth in the TVL finishing just 1-8 on the season but had five guys earn All-League honors. Nate Steinlage earned first team All-League at offensive tackle, while Kobe Rumbo and Trenton Flentie each earned first team honors on defense at tackle and defensive back. Second team honors were earned by Collin Holthaus along the defensive line and Bryson Johnson at back on offense. 

Doniphan West Mustangs won a pair of games on the season going 2-7 but finished fifth in the TVL. Three Mustangs earned All-League honors as Clayton Ridout picked up first team All-League honors at inside linebacker and punter, while getting second team honors at back on offense. Carson Lackey snagged first team honors at runningback for Doniphan West, while Luke Blevins earned second team honors at receiver.
